As part of the self-employment project, it is planned to create 50 business entities that will operate as rural guest houses.
New economic entities are being created to work as rural guest houses within the framework of the next stage of the project “Development of entrepreneurship and self-employment in rural areas”.
Such guest houses will operate in Guba, Gusar, Khachmaz, Sheki, Zagatala, Gakh, Lankaran, Astara and Lerik regions – that is, in areas with high tourism potential.
The project is implemented by the State Employment Agency of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population with the support of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBIA) and the State Tourism Agency.
At the new stage of this work, aimed at supporting the development of rural tourism and employment in the villages, it is planned to create 50 business entities that will operate as rural guest houses for tourists visiting the mentioned regions.
For this, first of all, suitable candidates were selected, who were provided with the necessary knowledge in the field of tourism and services during the training. Repair work was also carried out at the facilities that will be used as tourist facilities.
At the final stage, the State Employment Agency will provide these candidates with everything necessary for the guest house (sofa, armchair, table, chairs, bedding, furniture equipment, refrigerator, air conditioner, dishes, TV, etc.).
It should be noted that within the framework of the first stage of the project last year, 15 rural guest houses were created and equipped in the Ismayilli region, respectively, about forty women and young people in 15 families were employed. Also, about 300 villagers were informed about the opportunities for entrepreneurship and self-employment.
The project “Development of Entrepreneurship and Self-Employment in Rural Areas” is aimed at developing rural tourism, creating new enterprises, ensuring self-employment and improving the well-being of local communities.
It was first implemented in the villages of Boynuz, Khanaghi, Topchu, Tazakend, Sumaganly and the village of Lagich in the Ismayilli region with the support of KOBIA and the State Employment Agency.
