Harnessing the Potential of Idikum®: A Breakthrough Insecticide-Fungicide Seed Treatment for Potatoes

In a comparative study conducted in 2022 at “Latkin” LLC in the Nizhny Novgorod region and at “Putsco” LLC in the Bryansk region, Idikum® showcased remarkable effectiveness. When applied at a rate of 4.5 L/ha on Gala potatoes, it outperformed traditional treatments during active shoot growth stages, exhibiting significantly lower incidence rates of rhizoctonia. In subsequent evaluations during the flowering phase, Idikum® continued to demonstrate superior disease suppression compared to conventional methods.
THE POTATO PROTECTION SCHEME IS STANDARD BY THE FARMER
Further validation occurred in 2023 at “Putsco” LLC, where Idikum® displayed notable efficacy on Innovator potatoes during vigorous shoot growth. Results indicated a substantial reduction in rhizoctonia development on stems and tubers compared to standard practices.
These findings underscore Idikum®’s pivotal role in potato disease management, offering a level of protection comparable to, if not surpassing, existing treatments. Its inclusion in anti-resistance protection programs is recommended, considering its unique formulation and effectiveness, which surpasses many conventional options available in the market.
