The business program of the international exhibition POTATOES AND VEGETABLES AGROTECH 2024 over three days promises to be rich and multifaceted. To date, more than 20 events have been confirmed, covering the most current topics in the production, processing and marketing of potatoes and vegetables, which will provide participants and visitors with unique opportunities for learning, sharing experience and creating strategic partnerships.
In total, within the framework of the international exhibitions AGROS and POTATOES AND VEGETABLES AGROTECH, which will be held simultaneously at the Crocus Expo IEC on January 24-26, 2024, more than 70 business events are planned, at which more than 400 industry experts and practitioners will speak.
The program of the POTATOES AND VEGETABLES AGROTECH 2024 exhibition will open with the main event – a plenary session, the focus of which will be the key industry trend: the increase in crops for Russian selection. During the meeting, issues of state support for the industry, new varieties, new subsidy rules, new laws and regulations on the import of seeds, localization of foreign companies and import substitution will be discussed. The discussion will be attended by heads and representatives of industry departments of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia, Rosselkhozcenter, Rosselkhoznadzor, Rosagroleasing, Agroanalytics Center, Federal Research Center for Potatoes named after A.G. Lorja et al.
On the first day of the exhibition, January 24, mainly issues of a strategic nature will be discussed – within the framework of a seminar on the development of breeding and seed production in the context of the FNTP, a strategic session “Medium-term trends in vegetable growing”, a conference “Processing of potatoes and vegetables – a driver of industry development” and a round table “Science for potatoes and vegetables.”
The second day of the program will be filled with technology sessions and discussions on issues of agricultural education and personnel, export and agrilogistics, economics and sales, technology and equipment for cultivation and production, the use of digital tools and AI in the industry, advanced processing technologies, packaging and containers, increasing productivity and quality of potatoes and vegetables, protection from diseases.
During all three days of the exhibition, as part of the business program, there will be tastings of: Russian varieties of potatoes and vegetables and dishes made from them – for seed growers and agricultural producers, Russian varieties for processing – for processing companies, as well as tasting of deep-processed products of potatoes and vegetables – for representatives of retail chains with whom you can communicate as part of the Contact Exchange on the second day of the exhibition.
The third day of the exhibition will be marked by the Federal Farmers’ Forum, as well as round tables on vegetable growing, onions and garlic, and the Field Academy, organized by the Bayer company.
