According to the president, now farmers can sell their products in Russia very profitably.
Western sanctions had almost no effect on the agricultural sector in Belarus and even benefited the farmers, President of the Republic Alexander Lukashenko said on Tuesday.
On Tuesday, the head of state held a meeting with the Council of Ministers, where the focus was on the economy in light of the current difficult political situation.
According to Lukashenka, the negative dynamics of production in the agro-industrial complex cannot be allowed now.
“These sanctions are good for them (farmers – Sputnik): take them, sell them, especially in Russia. And the most marginal market today is the Russian one. Sanctions are good for agriculture,” the BelTA president quotes.

Lukashenka also recalled the increase in food supplies to China so that the republic would not lose its market position in China.
The head of state also made a forecast for the future harvest – according to him, this year it will be excellent.
