EU’s new Code of Conduct for responsible business published The European Commission has published the final text of the Code of conduct for responsible business and marketing practices, a key deliverable of the Farm to Fork Strategy. The Code of Conduct sets out the actions that the actors ‘between the farm and the fork’, such as food processors, food service operators and retailers, can voluntarily commit to undertake to tangibly improve and communicate their sustainability performance. The Code of Conduct will be officially presented at a high-level meeting on 5 July 2021, which Europatat will attend. Europatat will present and discuss the Code with its members in the coming months. EFSA’s #EUChooseSafeFood campaign EFSA has launched its #EUChooseSafeFood communication campaign that will run throughout the summer of 2021. It aims to raise awareness about the science behind our food and tell the story of the scientists who work to make sure it’s safe.
