Enhanced Customer Access to Leading Food Processing Solutions

Key Technology (Key) and PPM Technologies (PPM), both integral members of Duravant’s Food Sorting and Handling Solutions group, have consolidated their sales and service organizations across North and South America, as well as Australia and New Zealand. This strategic move aims to provide a single point of access for their extensive portfolio of food processing equipment and integrated turnkey systems.

In a significant move to enhance customer service and streamline operations, Key Technology and PPM Technologies have merged their sales and service organizations within the Americas, Australia, and New Zealand. This consolidation effort offers food processors in these regions unparalleled access to a comprehensive range of material handling and sorting solutions through a single point-of-contact.

Jack Lee, Duravant Group President – Food Sorting and Handling Solutions, emphasized the benefits of this integration, stating, “Bringing these two leading equipment suppliers together provides outstanding value to food processors. Customers can now access the broadest portfolio of material handling and sorting solutions in the food processing industry via a single point-of-contact. By integrating the Key and PPM sales and service teams, we can offer industry-leading process expertise and technical knowledge to our customers, including the ability to supply larger and more capable integrated solutions. Consolidating our field service and aftermarket operations means customers receive faster, more comprehensive support to maximize uptime and improve line performance.”

Comprehensive Food Processing Solutions

Key and PPM, both experts in food conveying and processing solutions, design, engineer, and manufacture systems for a wide array of food products, including:

  • Fresh and processed fruits and vegetables
  • Potato products
  • Snacks and cereals
  • Nuts and dried fruit
  • Confections
  • Meats, poultry, and seafood
  • Other bulk food products

Their equipment lineup includes vibratory, horizontal-motion, and belt conveyors that perform essential tasks such as feeding, aligning, grading, dewatering, scalping, and distributing throughout food processing lines. Additionally, Key Technology’s optical sorting systems enhance product quality and increase yield while reducing labor requirements. PPM’s offerings also include frying, coating/seasoning, and cooling systems, further broadening their capabilities in processed food applications.

Enhanced Support and Service

The consolidation of field service and aftermarket operations by Key and PPM ensures that customers receive prompt and comprehensive support. This integration facilitates faster response times and more effective service, aimed at maximizing equipment uptime and enhancing overall line performance.

By merging their expertise and resources, Key and PPM are well-positioned to deliver enhanced value and support to food processors, driving efficiency and productivity in the food processing industry.
