Increasing demand for agricultural drones remains a steady trend in Russia

glavpahar.ru

Russian agriculture is currently going through an active stage of digital transformation. This was reported by the press service of Skymec and the portal sfera.fm.

It should be noted that the increased interest of farmers in the use of drones on agricultural land, observed over the past two years, is highly likely to continue in 2023. The fact that drones are able to effectively solve the problems of precision farming, many specialists of the Russian agro-industrial complex have already managed to make sure in practice.

Modern agricultural drones, primarily the advanced XAG and DJI models, are multifunctional tools: they are capable of performing multispectral and infrared surveys of fields, spraying plant protection products and applying a range of fertilizers.
Just one drone can replace several machines and units at once, which makes the purchase of a UAV a worthwhile investment for many companies.

“Our customers who operate UAVs in the course of herbicide application tasks note the reduction in the cost of using ground equipment and fuels and lubricants, as well as convenient and simple control, including intelligent obstacle avoidance, the presence of several route building modes and spray systems, high-precision kinematic positioning in real time.

Anton Larsen – Director of Industrial Solutions at Skymec
According to Anton Larsen, the use of agricultural drones can significantly facilitate the work of farmers in fields with overcompacted soil, on farmland in hilly or mountainous areas, as well as in areas with obstacles for boom sprayers. Unmanned aerial vehicles can bring obvious benefits to households experiencing difficulties with the supply of water. Last year, UAVs proved to be an effective assistant in the fight against the meadow moth and as a worthy alternative to light aviation in southern Russia, where 11 airports were suspended.
