In 2022, the farmers of the Southern Urals plan to increase the sown area of agricultural crops by 50,000 hectares.
More than 6% of the planned area in the Chelyabinsk region has already been sown. The weather is fine. Seeds, spare parts and fuel are in abundance.
The daily increase in sown fields in the region is still more than 35 thousand hectares, and work is gaining momentum. The total area of spring sowing is 1 million 775 thousand hectares. According to the press center of the Ministry of Agriculture, farmers of the Verkhneuralsk region reached the maximum daily rates – 24.9 thousand hectares per day.
Farms located in the south of the region (Bredy, Varna, Kizil, Agapovka) are traditionally in a hurry to use the spring moisture accumulated in the steppe land and fight against wind erosion of the soil. The sowing of oats, sunflower, flax was started in Khlebinka. Farming is not far behind. Field growers sow wheat and flax in parallel, since it is better to complete their sowing before June 20. In the Bredinsky district, the pace of sowing sunflower, sweet clover, brown bread and fodder crops is increasing.
Even if there are precipitations, they will not negatively affect the pace of sowing, but will significantly improve the prospects for the harvest. This is the general opinion of farmers. Rains await on holidays, from May 9th.
Potatoes are planted in the Agapovsky, Argayashsky, Krasnoarmeisky and Sosnovsky regions. Sosnovtsy has the largest potato wedge (the Argayash region is in second place in terms of the area of \u200b\u200bsecond bread).
“This year, the area of the “second bread” will grow by 500 hectares and amount to 2539 hectares,” the press center of the Ministry of Agriculture quotes the words of Alexander Voronkov, head of the regional department of agriculture of the Sosnovsky district. – In our area, the cultivation of potatoes is carried out by the Rossiya Breeding Plant, Modern Technologies, AgromaxUrala LLC, Toroja Makhmadov’s farm and other farmers.
The farmers of Rossiya have been doing field work for a month now. All plowing under perennials has been harrowed, fertilizers have been applied on an area of more than 800 hectares. The sowing of perennial grasses and the first grain crops has begun.
“We have reached the norm in terms of productive moisture reserves,” said Nikolai Vislobokov, deputy general director of Rossiya for crop production, in an interview with the Sosnovskaya Niva newspaper. The previous two dry years make farmers appreciate every spring rain.

These days there is a selection of recipients of incentive subsidies for the cultivation of vegetables, as well as for the production of milk and meat.
