At the operational meeting of the Governor of the Moscow Region Andrey Vorobyov, issues of increasing the harvest, the operation of public transport and other topics of concern to the inhabitants of the region were discussed.
In Serpukhov, a lot of work is being done to use unused agricultural land to increase productivity. This year, 72 hectares of additional, previously unused land has already been put into circulation. In late August – early September, another 88 hectares should be added to them.
In the city of about. Serpukhov continues to operate the program “Podmoskovnye 10 ha”, under which you can get from 10 to 200 hectares for free use for up to 6 years.
By the end of the year, the area of greenhouses in the Moscow Region will increase to 220 hectares.
- Thanks to the federal program and regional support, in recent years we have built a large number of greenhouses and are harvesting a huge crop – we will have 220 hectares by the end of the year, – said Andrei Yuryevich.
The Moscow region is in second place in terms of these indicators, second only to the Lipetsk region.
On the territory of the city of Serpukhov is one of the region’s largest producers and suppliers of vegetables – Turov Greenhouse Complex. He is the guarantor of the food security of the Moscow region. The total area of the complex is 11 hectares. The greenhouses are equipped with a drip irrigation system and a climate control system.
Also at the meeting, they said that in the Moscow region they would support the construction of vegetable stores. The harvest of vegetables and grain will increase by 10%.
