The area under culture in the Republic of Kazakhstan last season amounted to 188.3 thousand hectares. This is 5.3% less than a year earlier.
The highest indicator in 27 years was recorded in 2022. And over the past five years, there has been no decrease in the area occupied by potatoes at all.
The area of crops in the republic decreased markedly in 2013, 2016 and 2017. But then it did not lead to a decrease in the gross potato harvest. Experts conclude that during such periods, manufacturers who do not show high results left the market.
