RMA-Techniek acquired the product SolEye on 1 September. SolEye is a product by Solentum B.V. (a former subsidiary of HZPC Holdings).
The SolEye is a digital measuring instrument that accurately and objectively assesses the colour of the cooking quality of French fries (e.g. in accordance with USDA standards). As everyone perceives colours differently, it’s hard to collect objective data. This machine gives instant results at the press of a button. Soleye can see exactly how many pixels there are and how these are distributed.
Herman Verveld, Commercial Director at HZPC said: “Here at HZPC we are pleased with this agreement. We could not have found a better company to take over than RMA-Techniek. The company is familiar with the potato business and well known to existing and potential new customers worldwide. With RMA-Techniek’s knowledge of products and service, existing customers and relationships will be optimally served. Moreover, the use and development of the SolEye will be further expanded”.
Director/founder Michel Remijn: “At RMA-Techniek we are pleased to be able to add the SolEye to our product portfolio. Our goal is to offer everything in the field of potato inspection and sampling. We have a complete range of machines for both manual and fully automatic assessments. The SolEye fits in perfectly with this”.
Meanwhile, existing SolEye contacts of Solentum B.V. have been informed of this decision.
