HyFun Foods Launches HyFarm: Connecting Farmers and Revolutionizing Produce Procurement
HyFun Foods, a prominent exporter of processed vegetables and fruits in India, has introduced a new initiative called HyFarm, aimed at agricultural produce procurement and fostering connections with farmers. The launch took place at the HyFun Plant premises in Mehsana, with the presence of MLA Jagdish Vishwakarma and 6,000 farmers. To kickstart this endeavor, HyFun Foods has committed an initial investment of Rs 100 crores towards HyFarm.
Key Highlights of HyFarm
- Procurement Milestone: The launch event also served as a celebration for HyFun Foods’ successful procurement of 300,000 tonnes of processing-grade potatoes from farmers this year, establishing HyFun Foods as the leading Indian brand in the procurement of processing potato varieties.
- Expansion Plans: HyFarm is set to focus on utilizing India’s abundant fresh produce and developing a backward integrated business model. The initiative aims to engage 30,000 farmers by 2030 and plans to broaden its procurement scope to include table and chipping potato varieties, targeting a procurement volume of 1 million tonnes by 2028.
- Diversification: In addition to potatoes, HyFarm aims to diversify its procurement to encompass a wide range of fresh fruits and vegetables beyond the traditional potato season. This expansion will provide year-round opportunities for farmers, enhancing their income streams.
- Digital Platform: HyFarm will leverage a robust digital platform to empower farmers with access to best agricultural practices, enhancing efficiency, productivity, and sustainability in the agricultural sector.
By launching HyFarm, HyFun Foods is not only revolutionizing produce procurement but also creating a platform that fosters sustainable farming practices and supports the livelihoods of thousands of farmers across India.
