In the first quarter of 2024, a frozen semi-finished product cost 199 rubles per kilogram, and a portion of ready-made fries cost Russian consumers 85 rubles. In 2019, the same prices were distributed as follows: 129 rubles and 50 rubles, respectively.
But in the USA, over the same five years, French fries have become more expensive by 134%. The trend, according to experts, is explained by the general increase in the costs of catering establishments against the background of inflation. As well as the increase in the cost of the necessary ingredients for cooking the most popular fast food dish among visitors.
