In the village of Makkaveevo, Chita District, the New Continent agricultural enterprise has begun planting an elite potato variety, the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of Transbaikalia reported, citing the head of the ministry, Denis Bochkarev.
“Today, employees of the agricultural organization have planted such varieties as Rosara, Scarlett, Misha on an area of 200 hectares – they have already proven themselves in past years, they have received a high yield. Consumers note that these varieties also have good taste qualities,” the minister said.
According to him, the harvest of such varieties of potatoes can already be obtained in early August.
