A meeting of the Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan Jamshid Khodzhaev with the leadership of the Development Bank of Belarus and the insurance agencies Beleximgarant and Promagroleasing took place in the capital of Belarus, IA Dunyo reports.
During the meeting, issues of participation of Belarusian financial institutions in the implementation of joint projects in the field of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, pharmaceuticals and agriculture were discussed.
According to the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade, representatives of the Development Bank of Belarus are interested in participating in financing transactions with Uzbekistan based on their experience with Uzbek banks and resources to finance trade and investment projects.
In September, representatives of the Development Bank, Beleximgarant and Promagroleasing agencies plan to come to Tashkent to study promising projects and hold negotiations in several ministries and departments of Uzbekistan.
In addition, the meeting discussed issues of further interbank cooperation in the context of relative stability and predictable stability of mutual settlements.
Following the talks, the parties agreed to continue cooperation within the framework of existing agreements and consider issues of in-depth cooperation during the upcoming visit of the leadership of the Development Bank of Belarus to Uzbekistan.
