Freshly Harvested Cornish New Potatoes Now Available at Tesco
The much-anticipated arrival of Cornish New Potatoes signals the start of summer in the UK. Freshly harvested, these potatoes are now available in Tesco stores and online from 24 June, much to the delight of shoppers across the country. Known for being some of the earliest UK mainland new potatoes of the season, Cornish New Potatoes benefit from the region’s milder maritime climate, allowing farmers to plant them well before spring arrives elsewhere in the UK.
Early Harvest for Superior Taste
Philip Pryor, a dedicated Cornish farmer, is among those harvesting these prized potatoes. The collaboration between leading potato supplier Branston and dedicated farmers across Cornwall ensures that Cornish New Potatoes are freshly harvested to order, maintaining their small size, natural sweetness, and delicate, fluffy skin.
