The eastern neighbor exceeded the 2023 figures for potato supplies to the Russian region by more than three times.
The regional Rosselkhoznadzor said that from the beginning of January to November 14, 26.7 thousand tons of tubers were imported to Primorye. A year ago, this figure amounted to 10.2 thousand tons.
During this period, 831 batches of products were brought from China, the total weight of which was 24.4 thousand tons. In 2023, there were 284 shipments, and the weight of the cargo reached seven thousand tons.
Pakistan is in second place in the list of potato importers in Primorye this season, and Kazakhstan is in third place.
