Celebrating 30 Years of Sustainable Potato Farming: Insights from Farm Frites Poland

On June 19th, Farm Frites Poland gathered over 100 potato producers for a field-conference event marking their 30th anniversary. The occasion not only celebrated long-standing partnerships but also showcased advancements in potato farming and processing innovations. Participants were treated to field visits showcasing experimental plots of new potato varieties, aimed at optimizing field performance and subsequent processing quality.

The conference segment, led by Adam Klasa, President and CEO of Farm Frites Poland, along with Supply Chain Director Jarosław Wańkowicz, reflected on the company’s journey from its inception in 1994 to becoming a leading processor of potato products. Investments in multiple production lines for fries, wedges, and crisps have driven significant increases in processed potato volumes, benefiting farms across the region.

Central to Farm Frites Poland’s collaboration with potato growers is not just commercial exchange but also knowledge sharing and sustainable agricultural practices. This commitment was underscored in panels discussing Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) reporting, emphasizing the importance of sustainable farming practices in modern agriculture.

The anniversary celebrations were marked by a ceremonial cake cutting and heartfelt tributes from long-term suppliers, some of whom have partnered with Farm Frites for over two decades. Their dedication and contributions were acknowledged as integral to the company’s enduring success.

Conclusion: The event highlighted Farm Frites Poland’s dedication to sustainable potato farming and collaborative innovation within the agricultural community. As they look to the future, their commitment to advancing agricultural practices remains steadfast, ensuring a sustainable supply chain and continued success for all stakeholders.
