The Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Buryatia has announced a new selection process for subsidies aimed at stimulating local potato and vegetable production. The financial support is designated for agrotechnological work and will be calculated based on either planted area (per hectare) or the volume of products grown (per ton). This initiative represents a key measure of state support designed to encourage the cultivation of socially significant crops and strengthen the region’s agricultural sector.
To be eligible for the subsidy, agricultural producers must meet specific criteria. Applicants are required to have at least 10 hectares of land dedicated to potatoes or 7 hectares for open-ground vegetables as of January 1st. Additionally, they must have been in operation for a minimum of 12 months and possess legal rights to their land plots for a term of no less than three years. Applications will be accepted for one week only, from March 16th to March 22nd, through the “Electronic Budget” portal.
