Branston continues to delight potato lovers by expanding its range under the Nanna Tate brand. In February 2025, ready-to-eat potato dishes created for convenience and taste will appear in Tesco stores.
What’s new with Nanna Tate?
Following the successful launch of fresh potato products, the brand is introducing four unique new products:
- Seriously Crispy Chips – seriously crispy fries
- Super Crunch Roasties – baked potatoes with a super-crispy crust
- Super Scrumptious Mash – the most tender mashed potatoes
- Yummy Cheesy Mash Bake – baked mashed potatoes with cheese
These dishes are designed with an emphasis on convenience of preparation – they can be cooked in the microwave, air fryer or oven, which makes them the perfect solution for quick and tasty dinners.
Why is this important for the market?
Ready-to-eat potato dishes are an uptrend in the frozen and semi-prepared food industry. Consumers are looking for quick, but high-quality nutritional solutions, and Nanna Tate offers exactly that. Using selected potatoes, the company guarantees a creamy texture of mashed potatoes, fluffiness of baked potatoes and the perfect crispy crust for fries.
The products will also be exclusively available in selected Tesco stores, with vibrant, eye-catching packaging that will be a hallmark of the brand.
Company comment
Lucia Washbrook, Nanna Tate Sales and Marketing Director, said:
“We are excited to be expanding Nanna Tate into our range of ready-to-eat potato dishes. We have included favourites such as fluffy mash and crispy baked potatoes, but with unique flavour twists that set them apart from other brands. We aim to capture the traditional, nostalgic flavours, but also add a modern twist to make them a real star of the table and bring people together.”
Prospects and expectations
The Nanna Tate range will launch on 10 February 2025 and will be available in Tesco across the UK and Northern Ireland. If the reception is positive, further expansions to include additional flavours and formats may be possible.
