Pomuni Frozen, a family-owned company based in Antwerp, has been awarded the prestigious “Factory of the Future” label by Agoria and Sirris. This triennial prize recognizes manufacturing companies that excel in forward-looking and future-ready operations. The distinction follows a comprehensive audit that evaluated the company’s performance in digitalization, the adoption of advanced production technologies, human-centered work organization, and the sustainability of its value chains. Auditors specifically highlighted the significant progress Pomuni Frozen has made over the past three years.
As a producer of frozen potato specialties, Pomuni Frozen has made substantial investments in digitalization, process optimization, and sustainable production methods, managing the entire value chain from raw potato to finished product. Gert Van Lommel, Plant Manager, credited the company’s employees for the achievement, stating that their craftsmanship and commitment make the difference. The company is part of Pomuni, a nearly century-old Belgian family business now led by the fourth generation of the Muyshondt family. CEO Ben Muyshondt emphasized their long-term vision, noting that as a family business, they prioritize sustainable growth across generations rather than quarterly results.
