Employees of the Georgian customs service did not miss a truck with potatoes coming from Belarus. According to the Revenue Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, agricultural products were trying to be imported into the country through the Lagodekhi checkpoint from Azerbaijan.
Potatoes did not pass phytosanitary control, as harmful organisms were found in the root crops. Infected products weighing 21.5 tons were returned to the exporting country in accordance with the legislation of the receiving party.
