In the Ulyanovsk region, it is planned to “develop a certain variety” together with Belarusian breeders. According to a REGNUM correspondent, Mikhail Semenkin, Acting Minister of Agro-Industrial Complex and Rural Development of the Ulyanovsk Region, announced this on June 14 at the regional development headquarters.
Speaking about the results of his working trip to Belarus, he paid special attention to potato growing.
“Also, our main issues were the supply of seed material specifically for potatoes. Here we talked with the participants in the production, namely with the breeders, of potato production in Belarus. Today, together with our seed farms, we are ready to develop a certain variety of potatoes in our region,” said Mikhail Semenkin.
He also added that “an agreement has been reached” on the supply.
