Agristo Opens a New Chapter for Belgian French Fries in India

Agristo, one of the global leaders in Belgian French fries production, has announced the construction of a new production line in Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh, India. This event marks a significant milestone not only for the company but also for the development of Belgian-Indian economic relations.

The ceremony was attended by high-ranking guests, including Princess Astrid of Belgium, Uttar Pradesh Finance Minister Suresh Kumar Khanna, Chief Secretary Manoj Singh, Flemish Prime Minister Matthias Diependaele, and Minister of Foreign Affairs Maxime Prévot. Together, they laid the foundation stone for the future plant, symbolizing mutual support and strengthening international relations.

The launch of the new line is part of Agristo’s strategy to expand its presence in the promising Asian market. India, with its enormous potential and increasing demand for deep-processed potato products, presents significant opportunities for the company’s further growth.

An important aspect of the project will be stimulating local potato cultivation, providing a strong impetus for the development of regional agriculture. Agristo plans to double the number of employees at its Indian facility, contributing to job creation and local economic development.

Moreover, Agristo consistently adheres to sustainable development principles, striving to minimize environmental impact and support local communities.

This event highlights the global trend towards international cooperation and demonstrates the growing interest in high-quality, convenient food products, with Belgian French fries holding a special place among them.

Do you think Belgian French fries will become popular with the broader Indian audience and influence local consumer habits?
