For farms that have increased their sown areas by cultivating abandoned lands, state support is provided. According to the regional program, they are reimbursed up to 90% of the costs incurred in the development of abandoned lands.
“It is important to maximize the use of land suitable for agriculture. A record 71.5 million rubles were allocated from the regional budget for the development of abandoned lands in 2022 (27.5 million in 2021). Subsidies will be received by 39 agricultural producers. We are carrying out comprehensive work to support the agricultural industry, and it is producing excellent results. Farmers achieved a record grain harvest, harvesting more than 1.7 million tons, significantly increased the yield of potatoes and vegetables, oilseeds. Thanks to the increase in production volumes, as well as state support, agricultural enterprises can invest more in the modernization of the agro-industrial complex, improve working conditions in the countryside, increasing the food security of Kuzbass,” said Governor Sergei Tsivilev.
Recall that since 2018, at the initiative of the governor in Kuzbass, the sown area has been actively increasing due to the introduction of unclaimed arable land into circulation. From 2018 to 2021, more than 83 thousand hectares were introduced. In 2021, Sergei Tsivilev set a goal for 2022-2024 to introduce another 100 thousand hectares of unused land into agricultural circulation. In 2022, 45.6 thousand hectares of land were introduced, the farmers of all municipalities fully implemented the plan for putting them into circulation. The leaders in the restoration of arable land were the agrarians of the Prokopevsky, Tisulsky, Yaya, Promyshlenny and Krapivinsky districts.
