Statistics Agency data indicate that 20.2 thousand tons of potato seed material were used in the Republic of Tajikistan during the autumn sowing. Farmers needed 40 tons of vegetable seeds, which is 30.8% more than in the same period last year.
The total sown area allocated for vegetable crops amounted to 11.3 thousand hectares. Of these, white cabbage occupied 595 hectares, carrots – 1.5 thousand hectares, onions – 8.3 thousand hectares, garlic – 45 hectares and other vegetables – 817 hectares.
