The Ministry of Agriculture of Russia is reorganizing the system of federal institutions for land reclamation in the Volga region. By order of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia dated December 19, 2022 No. 593 “On the reorganization of the federal state budgetary institution “Department of Land Reclamation and Agricultural Water Supply in the Republic of Tatarstan”, a procedure has begun for joining Tatmeliovodkhoz with three departments of land reclamation and agricultural water supply located in the Kirov region, the Republic of Mari El and the Udmurt Republic. This was reported by the press service of the agricultural department.
Thus, in the Volga region, on an enlarged territory that unites four constituent entities of the Russian Federation, a single center for managing the work of the reclamation complex is being created on the basis of an institution for land reclamation – the Department of Land Reclamation and Agricultural Water Supply in the Volga Federal District “(” Privolzhskmeliovodkhoz “).
According to the Order of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, all measures for the reorganization of the Tatmeliovodkhoz Administration are planned to be completed by April 17, 2023. As the federal ministry assumes, the process of consolidation of the federal departments of melioration will allow scaling up the positive experience of Tatarstan in the development of melioration to other regions of the Volga region, speed up the process of making and implementing management decisions, as well as increase the efficiency of financing capital investments in the construction and repair of reclamation complex facilities and financing operational activities, increase the transparency of the activities of federal institutions in the regions.
