A candidate of agricultural sciences from the Leninsky district put his knowledge into practice and grows several dozen varieties of Volgograd potatoes on his fields. The head of the peasant farm plans to receive the first bag of the harvest at the end of June.
In the KFH of the Leninsky district of the Volgograd region, all work is proceeding according to the schedule. Winter wheat is being prepared for harvesting, and potatoes will ripen at the end of June, they occupy 20 hectares.
There is no doubt that the harvest in this peasant farm will be worthy. How much “gold” the field will give is visible to the naked eye. The upcoming harvest will unfold on two hundred hectares. In addition to production issues, the circle of interests of Dmitry Uskov also includes the observation of varieties. After all, there are no former candidates of agricultural sciences!
The head of the KFH Dmitry Uskov acquired this land several years ago. The lands were more like virgin lands. But that’s what agriculture is for, there are no easy ways. Non-standard solutions are needed even now, when many foreign suppliers refuse to cooperate with Russian enterprises.
Now the fields are calm – all forces are aimed at caring for and protecting plants from pests. Machine operators are busy with scheduled repairs of equipment. By the end of June, it is planned to start harvesting, but even before the “first sheaf” the first bag of excellent Volgograd potatoes will be harvested here.
