The results of 2022 exceeded the results of the previous year by 12%, while there is a decrease in product prices.
Onions were harvested – 1.5 thousand tons, potatoes – 29 thousand tons, cabbage – 16.4 thousand tons, carrots – 1.04 thousand tons, table beets – 2.6 thousand tons. Recall that in 2022 the Belgorod Region became one of the 3 pilot regions in the Russian Federation, in which a measure was introduced to support personal subsidiary farms engaged in the production of borscht vegetables. Citizens who maintain personal subsidiary plots and apply the special tax regime “Tax on professional income” are reimbursed 90% of the funds spent on the increase in the volume of sales. The amount provided for in the budget for 2022 is 2 million rubles, with a subsequent increase by 2025 to 2.8 million rubles.
Another mechanism for attracting residents of the region to the cultivation of vegetables is the provision of state support on the basis of a social contract. As of November 1, 138 people are involved in the production of open and closed ground vegetables, as well as potatoes. In 2022, these farmers will produce an additional 308 tons of vegetables and potatoes, including potatoes – 140 tons, cucumbers – 55 tons, tomatoes – 48 tons, cabbage – 49 tons, as well as other crops (table beet, carrots, peppers, garlic, onion, herbs, etc.) – 16 tons. Also, farmers received lump-sum payments for the development of personal subsidiary plots – from 100,000 to 200,000 rubles.
