In January-July, the growth rate of the economy of Kazakhstan amounted to 3.3%. Positive growth is demonstrated by construction, information and communications, trade, transport and warehousing, manufacturing, agriculture, and mining.
The Minister of National Economy of Kazakhstan, Alibek Kuantirov, spoke about this at a government meeting on the results of socio-economic development for seven months.
According to the Minister of National Economy, growth in the real sector amounted to 3.4%, business activity in the service sector accelerated to 2.5%.
There is also an acceleration in the growth rate of investments in fixed assets up to 4.5%.
“Investments increased in public administration and social security – by 99.2%, education – by 74.8%, trade – by 26.4%, real estate transactions – by 19.9%, financial and insurance activities – by 17, 3%, construction – by 14.8%. In the regional context, the best indicators are observed in the cities of Shymkent and Almaty, as well as in the Almaty region and the Zhetysu region. A decrease was recorded in the regions of Ulytau and Abay, as well as in the Atyrau and Karaganda regions, “- noted Alibek Kuantirov.
According to the Minister of National Economy, positive growth in production was recorded in 17 regions. The largest increase is noted in the East Kazakhstan and Kostanay regions, in the Abay region, as well as in Almaty and Shymkent. In these regions, there is an increase in the production of food, petroleum products, building materials, medicines, non-ferrous metals, tractors, trucks and cars.
There is a decline in production in the Zhetysu region, as well as in the Pavlodar and Turkestan regions, mainly due to a decrease in the production of flour, soft drinks, ready-mixed concrete, uranium, metal structures, batteries, gasoline, diesel fuel, ferrochromium, raw aluminum.
