The authorities of Sakhalin have increased the volume of assistance to local agricultural producers and directed more than 218 million rubles to support them, said the Governor of the region Valery Limarenko.
“This decision was made to support our farmers in the face of Western sanctions. We have doubled the amount of compensation for the sale of young meat, compensate for part of the cost of fertilizers, potato seeds and fodder crops, and introduced subsidies for keeping cows,” the head of the region wrote. in the Telegram channel.
According to him, 218.7 million rubles have been allocated from the regional budget to support the development of agriculture. In general, the region has a large-scale program to support the agro-industrial complex in more than 40 areas. There are also concrete results – the Sakhalin Region retains a leading position among the Far Eastern regions in terms of self-sufficiency in vegetables.
According to the regional government, due to the increase in the cost of mineral fertilizers, the amount of reimbursement of expenses from the regional budget has been increased from 30 to 50 percent, based on current prices for mineral fertilizers.
