As Andrei Bronts, Minister of Agriculture of the Primorsky Territory, reported at a meeting of the regional government, almost 39,000 hectares of early grain crops have been sown to date – 104% of the plan.
“If weather conditions allow, we will sow 307,000 hectares of soybeans and 79,000 hectares of corn. The necessary stock of seeds is available,” the minister stressed.
According to him, vegetable growers are provided with subsidies for the purchase of equipment, greenhouses for seedlings, support for greenhouse vegetables has been increased, the press service of the regional government notes. This year, together with the population, 16.9 thousand hectares of potatoes and 7.4 thousand hectares of open ground vegetables will be planted. Thanks to state support, the area sown with rice will increase by 1.1 thousand hectares.
