The BioScope FieldScout app has won a golden Dutch Interactive Award 2021 in the Tools category. The election is an initiative of Emerce, the platform for digital marketing and e-business.
The Interactive Awards (DIA) reward the very best interactive digital tools made in the Netherlands. The nearly three hundred entries will be judged by an independent jury of heavyweights from the digital world.

‘FieldScout cleverly provides insight into complex big data for the farm. The tool thus ensures that farmers work in a more environmentally-friendly and better way, ‘the jury said. ‘This golden work thus has a positive influence on the industry and society. In short: a beautiful and impactful case.’
Precision farming
With the FieldScout app, farmers can get started with precision farming. With the help of technology, crops receive the treatment they need very precisely. That is more efficient, cheaper and more sustainable. The app provides the farmer with the correct insights on location, such as the state of the crops.
The app streamlines the process of analysis, scouting and taking action. For example, farmers can treat crops in a very targeted manner, for example with fertilizers or crop protection agents.
Increase in users
FieldScout is an initiative of BioScope, with a participation of LTO Bedrijven, and app builder Uselab. Given the subject, this created a fun dynamic: strategists, designers and developers, together with agricultural specialists and farmers, created a digital product. The growth of new users is seasonal in nature. More and more farmers are using the app.
One year after its launch, FieldScout is one of the most used apps in the agricultural sector. LTO encourages its members to grow data consciously with the innovative app. The FieldScout app is advanced, yet very easy to use, says marketing manager Arnout Goeman of LTO Bedrijven.
‘We think that is exactly what a farmer is looking for in an application like this. It doesn’t really matter whether you are a very experienced smart farmer or just starting out. The FieldScout app makes information practically applicable in the field for everyone.’
