According to the Ministry of Agriculture of the Novgorod Region, as of mid-August, more than 4 thousand tons of grain crops were threshed in the region. Grain harvesting is underway in the Batetsky, Volotovsky, Novgorodsky, Soletsky, Starorussky, Khvoininsky and Shimsky districts.
In the Volotovsky, Soletsky and Starorussky districts, LLC “Novgorodsky Bacon” harvests rapeseed. The work was carried out on an area of more than 700 hectares. Simultaneously with the harvesting of this crop, the farm is sowing winter rapeseed. At the moment it occupies more than 550 hectares.
In the farms of Batetsky, Volotovsky, Novgorod, Starorussky and Khvoininsky regions, plowing for winter crops has begun. Here, the work was carried out on an area of more than 3.6 thousand hectares. Potato harvesting has begun in the Novgorod and Borovichi districts. Collected about 400 tons.
Work continues on the preparation of fodder. According to the latest data, an average of 21.7 centners of fodder units have been harvested per conditional head of cattle in the agricultural organizations of the region, which is 103.2% of the plan. 31 thousand tons of silage mass, almost 13 thousand tons of hay, 47 thousand tons of haylage have been harvested.
