Young Bryansk potatoes began to be sold at 400 rubles per kilogram. It is difficult to believe in such prices, but everyone can be sure that a record-breaking expensive product is on the shelves. True, the business of traders in the markets is still going poorly.
This is not surprising: because of the huge price, some buyers shy away, others laugh, others glare at the sellers.
One of them explained to Bryansk News that he does not captivate anyone:
- Spring is cold – what do you want? The potatoes bloom late.
It is possible to sell no more than two to three kilograms per day.
In fact, the price of potatoes is even higher, since some traders replace one Bryansk tuber with a cheaper southern one. This secret was revealed to Bryansk News by the competitors of the most tight-fisted merchants. Buyers are unlikely to notice the substitution, and the seller will receive additional profit.
At the end of May, Azerbaijani potatoes were sold for 100 rubles.
