Governor of the Amur region Vasily Orlov visited a farm in the Arkharinsky district, where Amur residents grow potatoes.
This year, farmer Vladimir Chenchenko planted 14 hectares of potatoes (four hectares more than in 2021). For planting, 35 tons of elite seeds were purchased – the Lilly variety (20 tons) and Sante (15 tons). The head of the KFH plans to increase plantings to 26 hectares. But while he does not have a vegetable store, negotiations are underway to buy or lease it, according to the Amur government.
Vasily Orlov said that this farm is developing thanks to a grant from the Ministry of Agriculture of the region received in 2020. Then the farmer bought a tractor, a potato sorter, a sprayer for 1,000 liters and a potato seed tuber, last year a potato planter, and this year, at his own expense, a potato harvester.
- Amur farmers who are engaged in potato and vegetable growing can receive compensation of up to 50% of the cost of purchasing elite seeds, 40 thousand rubles per hectare of vegetable crops, 70 thousand per hectare of potato sown area growth, as well as 70 thousand per hectare of sown area growth area occupied by open ground vegetables. In addition, we reimburse part of the actual costs in the amount of 50% for the creation or reconstruction and equipping of storage facilities. Now this direction is more relevant than ever,” the governor commented.
