Three Nizhny Novgorod agricultural producers will receive federal Agrotourism grants in 2023. This was announced by the Minister of Agriculture and Food Resources of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Nikolai Denisov.
“Grant “Agrotourism” is a new support measure launched by the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia this year. It is provided for small and medium-sized businesses that are engaged in the production of agricultural products and are aimed at the development of rural tourism. In 2022, three of our farms received such grants; their projects passed a competitive selection at the federal level. The total financing of the projects amounted to 27.5 million rubles, of which about 21 million rubles were allocated from the federal budget, the rest is regional subsidies,” recalled Nikolai Denisov.
The head of the regional Ministry of Agriculture also announced the results of the selection of projects that will receive Agrotourism grants in 2023.
“Next year, grants for the development of rural tourism will be received by three farms in the region. The size of each grant will be 10 million rubles. Among the winners of the selection is farmer Leonid Bugrov, who plans to implement the Bugrovskoye farmstead project in the Tonkin region. Two agro-tourism projects will be launched in the Sharangsky district at once: the construction of the guest house “Village Estate” in the farm of Pavel Efremov and the “Hunter’s House” in the agricultural enterprise Soyuz. It should be noted that all projects involve catering for tourists or the presence of a tasting site where farmers will use their own products, which is a new channel for them to sell their products,” Nikolay Denisov said.
In 2022, the Agrotourism grant in the amount of 9.5 million rubles was received by Vladimir Khramov, a farmer from the Koverninsky municipal district, for the implementation of the Outback with Taste project. Farmer Vadim Karov from the Pavlovsky municipal district won a grant in the amount of 8.5 million rubles for the development of the Recreation Center on Lake Svetloe project. Farmer Ekaterina Plekhanova received a grant in the amount of 9.5 million rubles for the development of the Inhabited Island Faun Park project.
In total, this year, more than 230 million rubles of federal and regional subsidies were allocated to support small businesses in the Nizhny Novgorod Region under various grant programs.
Recall that 5.6 billion rubles of subsidies are provided to support agricultural enterprises and the development of rural areas of the Nizhny Novgorod region this year, of which 4.9 billion rubles have already been transferred to agricultural enterprises. Funds are directed to field work; melioration; reimbursement of part of the costs associated with the acquisition of machinery and equipment; elite seed production; support for producers of milk, vegetables, grain; for the development of horticulture; personnel support and other areas.
