Day 1: Arrival in the potato homeland
Welcome and familiarization with the history of potato cultivation in Peru.
A tour of the local farms and fields where potatoes are produced.
Meeting with local farmers and discussing their experiences and traditions in potato cultivation.
Tasting of various potato varieties and discussion of their characteristics.
Day 2: Visit to a potato-growing commune
Visit a rural community where potatoes are grown in a traditional style.
Participation in rituals and traditional celebrations related to potatoes.
Lessons from local residents on the techniques of planting and caring for potatoes.
Participation in harvesting and preparing the soil for the next season.
Day 3: Immersion in the Inca culture
Dressing in the national dress of the ancient Incas and learning traditional dances and rituals.
An excursion to historical sites associated with the Inca civilization, including a visit to Machu Picchu.
Lessons on traditional Inca arts and crafts.
Day 4: Working in the fields
Participate in digging and harvesting potatoes in the fields using traditional tools.
Training in methods of storing and processing potato crops.
Soil preparation and potato sowing on a new site.
Day 5: Festive lunch and the end of the program
Cooking traditional potato dishes under the guidance of experienced chefs.
Participate in a lunch where all the dishes are based on potatoes.
Tasting of potato vodka and other traditional drinks.
The program ends with a farewell ceremony and the issuance of certificates to participants.
This program will provide participants with a complete immersion in the culture and traditions of potato growing in Peru, allowing them not only to learn about this important aspect of Peruvian life, but also to actively participate in it.
