President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko called on farmers to use high food prices and increase harvests and agricultural products during a meeting with workers at the Yubileiny agricultural complex in the Vitebsk region on June 21, the press service of the head of state reports.
“The situation is now developing such that we need a bloody nose this and next year to work well in agriculture. Because your products, especially outside the country, cost a lot of money,” the head of Belarus said.
As food prices outside of Belarus have risen substantially, Alexander Lukashenko has said that agriculture has “been such a golden age.”
