In Yakutia, in 2022, the sown area for potatoes is 6586 hectares. The largest area is allocated in Yakutsk – 1228 hectares, and Olekminsky is the leader among the districts, where the sown area is about 800 hectares. The smallest area in the Abysky and Oymyakonsky districts, where potatoes are grown on 1.60 hectares. It is important to know here that varieties or hybrids must be included in the State Register of Breeding Achievements, and the varietal and sowing qualities of seeds must comply with GOSTs. ADVERTISEMENT It is also worth remembering that the subsidy is paid on the condition that the farm applied a sufficient amount of fertilizer. An agricultural producer who belongs to small businesses (except for private household plots and a cooperative) can additionally receive a subsidy: – for carrying out agrotechnological work, increasing the level of environmental safety of production, as well as improving soil fertility and quality – at a rate per 1 hectare of sown area occupied potatoes and (or) vegetable crops of open ground. Important! Varieties or hybrids must be included in the State Register, and the varietal and sowing qualities of seeds must comply with GOSTs. Owners of household plots who grow potatoes or vegetables and are registered as self-employed (applying the tax regime “Tax on professional income”) can receive subsidies: – to support elite seed production – at the rate per 1 hectare of sown area sown with elite seeds of potatoes and vegetable crops , including hybrids of vegetable crops; – to support the production of potatoes and open field vegetables – at a rate per 1 ton of sold potatoes and open field vegetables. To receive a subsidy, a citizen must: – confirm his registration as a self-employed person; – submit an extract from the household book confirming that the household plot has existed for at least a year; – at the time of receiving the subsidy, confirm the costs that he incurred for the production of potatoes and vegetables in open ground (submit sales contracts, waybills, payment documents, acceptance certificates, sales receipts, etc.) Vegetable stores are entitled to receive partial compensation Farms (except private household plots) or organizations that build or modernize vegetable storage facilities are entitled to receive compensation for part of the costs of creating this storage facility in the amount of not more than 25% of the storage cost (but not more than the marginal cost, which will be determined additionally). Applications for a subsidy in this case will be competitively selected by the Russian Ministry of Agriculture. You cannot receive a subsidy if the construction or modernization of the vegetable store began more than three years ago. How to get a subsidy for potato and vegetable growing? The information presented above is the general rules for the provision and distribution of subsidies from the federal budget to the budgets of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation to stimulate an increase in the production of potatoes and vegetables. In order for the subsidy to reach the addressee, each subject of the Russian Federation is obliged at the regional level to adopt the Rules for the provision of subsidies for farms that grow potatoes and vegetables. Regional rules can be supplemented by conditions for receiving subsidies (for example, the obligation not to have debts on taxes and fees; to pay employees wages not lower than the average for the region, and so on).
