Friday evening, February 12, a starch explosion took place in a truck on the Avebe site in Gasselternijveen. The driver has been taken to hospital for a check-up just in case.
“Our employees immediately acted adequately and scaled up to the security services. No unsafe situations occurred for both our employees and the environment”, Avebe reports.
The cause is not yet known and is currently being investigated. The driver of the truck is doing well under the circumstances.
