The company Rusbana Engineering, Moscow-based, is the new distributor appointed by Herbert Engineering, for Russia and surrounding countries.
Herbert Engineering designs, supplies and installs processing lines, as well as individual processing equipment, for root crops and vegetables throughout the world. Their appointment of a new Russian distributor will enable them to introduce their innovative systems to a rapidly expanding market.
Rusbana has been working in the food processing market in Russia for over 10 years and is an experienced company in the market with an in-depth knowledge of equipment for the pre-sale preparation and packaging of potatoes, carrots, onions, beetroots and other produce.
Andy Hubble, Herbert’s commercial manager, commented: “We were are delighted to have joined up with Rusbana Engineering and are looking forward to working with them in the future. There are enormous changes in the market in Russia. They are now more market driven and the consumer is looking for much better quality produce and we are very well placed to help Rusbana deliver the systems to achieve that.”
Alex Sviniev of Rusbana added: “In Russia today, new industrial enterprises are appearing, not just small and middle-size farmers or co-operatives but big plants with their own fields, transport and logistics systems and our customers are paying more and more attention to the technology, quality and reliability of the equipment they are looking to buy. We took the decision to enter into a partnership with Herbert as they are one of the leading companies in Europe and in the world manufacturing high-capacity and technologically robust process equipment.
“Agricultural companies first look at quality and reliability, its technological parameters and its ability to work 24 hours a day, rather than very inefficient, but low cost, alternatives. In Russia, this is a quite new approach to the purchase of equipment.”
