Belgian potato producer Mydibel will be 100 percent owned by industry partner Clarebout. Mydibel is one of the largest processors in Europe. The turnover for this year is estimated at 400 million euros.
The transaction is expected to close in the first quarter of 2023, subject to approval by the relevant antitrust authorities. Mydibel and Clarebout did not disclose financial details of the deal.

Mydibel processes potatoes into sliced, frozen and pre-baked potato products sold under the Mydibel brand or customers’ brand names. Walloon investment company SRIW entered the capital by 19.2 percent in 2019.
Clarebout is a large international Belgian private label group of frozen potato products with an annual turnover of more than 1 billion euros. The company is export-oriented and supplies its products to more than 120 countries around the world.
