More than 5.6 billion rubles of subsidies were received by enterprises of the agro-industrial complex of the Nizhny Novgorod Region in 2022. This was announced by the Minister of Agriculture and Food Resources of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Nikolai Denisov.
“Every year the budget for the agro-industrial complex is increasing: this year, the financing of the industry has exceeded 5.6 billion rubles, which is 600 million or 12% more than last year. At the same time, the share of the regional budget amounted to 3.7 billion rubles,” Nikolai Denisov noted.
The head of the regional Ministry of Agriculture explained that in 2022, about 1.6 billion rubles were allocated to support animal husbandry: subsidies for the creation of dairy and beef cattle breeding facilities; for the development of livestock breeding; subsidies for 1 kg of milk sold and 1 ton of milk increment. 1.8 billion rubles were allocated to support crop production: subsidies for 1 hectare of grain, oilseeds, fodder, industrial crops, potatoes, vegetables, flax; for the purchase of agricultural machinery; melioration; elite seed production; subsidies to increase the production of potatoes and vegetables. About 600 million rubles were paid out in the form of soft loans. 236 million rubles amounted to grant support for small businesses. More than 200 million rubles were received by food industry enterprises: producers of bread, flour, sugar and milk processors.
“In addition to supporting agricultural enterprises, an important role is given to supporting projects related to the development of settlements in the Nizhny Novgorod Region. This is facilitated by the state program “Integrated Development of Rural Territories”, which has been in effect since 2020. During this time, thanks to the KRST, we have been able to implement hundreds of various projects that are aimed at improving the living standards of the rural population. We are talking about gasification, construction of roads, improvement of public spaces, construction of cultural and sports facilities, construction of comfortable housing for workers. This year alone, more than a billion rubles have been allocated for these purposes, of which more than half are federal funds. Funds are also attracted for the implementation of projects from the regional budget and extrabudgetary sources, the latter often falling on the share of agricultural enterprises. This is a good example of combining the efforts of the state and business for the benefit of the region,” Nikolai Denisov added.
