McDonald’s has recently opened a new location in Missouri, the US, with services that include self-serve kiosks for ordering meals, table service, and the highly sought after option of unlimited french fries.
KQTV reports that this McDonald’s restaurant is decked out with fancy soda machines, a high-tech play place and the in-house-only endless fries, that gained international attention. Diners can order from large kiosks and sit down while servers bring out the food. Those who prefer to order at the counter can do that as well.
“Your fries will come out in this really cute basket and it’s just like if you’re at a Mexican restaurant with chips and salsa,” said Chris Habiger, franchise owner.
The new menu offers a variety of grilled options and special sauces, such as pico de gallo and guacamole. This “McDonald’s of the future” strategy has also revamped the entertainment options for children with the newest play sets.
On the other hand, with their strategy to make its menus healthier, McDonald’s made a series of announcements that the company wants to reduce sodium in its mayonnaise and fries and the calories in the sauces, in the menus in India. Last week, McDonald’s US also announced that it would be replacing corn syrup in the hamburger buns with sugar and eliminate artificial preservatives from products like chicken nuggets and breakfast items.
