The Minister of Agriculture, Food and Processing Industry of the Tver Region Konstantin Karavayny reported on new support measures at a meeting of the regional Government, which was chaired by Governor Igor Rudenya.
Starting from 2023, new areas of state support will be introduced in the Tver region by attracting federal budget funds to stimulate the production of potatoes and vegetables.
In particular, subsidies are provided for agricultural organizations and peasant farms for the volume of open-ground vegetables and potatoes produced, for agrotechnological work on the sown area occupied by potatoes and vegetables; for self-employed citizens leading a personal subsidiary plot – for the sale of these crops. Also, support will be available for the purchase of elite and / or original seeds of potatoes and vegetables. The total amount of funding in all areas for this year is 65.9 million rubles.
In addition, with co-financing from the federal budget, subsidies will be provided to support domestic milk production and ensure an increase in the volume of milk (including goat and sheep) processed for food products. 153.5 million rubles are provided for these purposes.
At the expense of the regional budget, grant support is being introduced to agricultural producers for the purchase of breeding cattle and equipment for dairy farms. The amount of funds for this year is 224.9 million rubles.
