Investors from Egypt and Sudan are interested in investing in the agro-industrial sector of the Republic of Moldova. This was discussed at a meeting of entrepreneurs with the head of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic Vladimir Boley.
The meeting was held the day before in the building of the Ministry of Agriculture. Foreign entrepreneurs expressed their intention to invest in a number of industries in Moldova, primarily in livestock.
“The spheres of investment interests of Egyptian and Sudanese businessmen are the construction of livestock and sheep farms, a fodder factory, as well as the development of irrigation systems in the Republic of Moldova. The minister welcomed these intentions and expressed his readiness to support the initiatives,” the press release of the Moldovan agrarian department says.
Earlier it was reported that the governments of Moldova and Egypt initiated negotiations on concluding a free trade agreement between the two countries in order to simplify the supply of agricultural products without taxes.
