“Due to stable funding from the federal and regional budgets, the region has quietly entered the sowing season, and we have everything to deal with the harvest in the fall. To increase the production of vegetables and potatoes, the so-called borsch set, the region introduces additional subsidies, – said Alexander Drozdenko, Governor of the Leningrad Region.

Currently, work continues on the fields, mineral fertilizers are being introduced for top dressing, of which about 9 thousand tons have been purchased. More than one million tons (out of 1.530 million tons purchased) of organic fertilizers have already been applied. Stocks of fertilizers were made more than last year, by 11%.
The region plans for 2022 to increase production in all areas: grain by 20 thousand tons (up to 160 thousand tons), rapeseed by 4 thousand tons (up to 11.9 thousand tons), potatoes by 42 thousand tons ( up to 207 thousand tons), milk by 10 thousand tons (up to 660 thousand tons), meat of livestock and poultry by 12.5 thousand tons (up to 375 thousand tons), eggs by 200 million pieces. (up to 3683 million units).
