Systemic measures of state support for small agribusiness at all stages of its development – from self-employed to cooperative forms of activity – made it possible to attract 18.3 thousand entrepreneurs to the agro-industrial complex over the past year, said Deputy Prime Minister Victoria Abramchenko.
The complex of measures is united within the framework of the federal project “Acceleration of small and medium-sized businesses”. Among the support measures are the provision of subsidies for the creation and development of farms and agricultural cooperatives, subsidies for the purchase of goods from personal subsidiary farms, and others.
“In 2022, 5.6 billion rubles were allocated from the federal budget to the regions for measures to create a support system for farmers and develop rural cooperation. As a result, about 18.3 thousand people came to small and medium-sized businesses in the agro-industrial complex in 2022,” the Deputy Prime Minister noted.
Support measures also include receiving a grant for the creation and development of Agrostartup farms. Last year, 1,354 peasant and farm enterprises became its recipients, while the amount of budget funds involved exceeded 3.5 billion rubles, Victoria Abramchenko specified.
“Grant support gives its result. Thanks to Agrostartup, its recipients increased their revenue and created more than 2.8 thousand jobs, exceeding the planned figure by almost three times,” the Deputy Prime Minister noted.
For 2023, according to Victoria Abramchenko, 6.3 billion rubles of federal funds are provided for the creation of a support system for farmers and the development of rural cooperation, which will allow involving about 19.4 thousand people in small agribusiness.
