On Thursday, February 29th, over 100 participants gathered at Quik’s Quality Potatoes in Hedel for an enriching experience hosted by the MAF Business Club.
The event kicked off with a warm welcome from Peter Quik, who provided an insightful presentation on the company and its rich history. Attendees were then divided into groups, with one half treated to a delectable meal featuring dishes like sweet potato soup and fries with satay, while the other half embarked on guided tours of the impressive facility. After an hour, the groups switched activities to ensure everyone had the chance to explore the company firsthand.
During the tours, knowledgeable staff members shared valuable insights about potatoes and the various products derived from them, including chilled potato slices and fries packaged in different formats to meet the diverse needs of consumers, whether in supermarkets or restaurants.
Following the tours, the club’s chairman led a discussion with Peter and his son about their company and its relationship with MAF. This was followed by a presentation from Marien Geense, MAF’s IT manager in Indonesia, who shed light on their work in remote areas of the country.
The evening concluded with ample networking opportunities over refreshments, allowing attendees to connect and exchange ideas. Each participant left with a well-stocked goodie bag, courtesy of the hosts at Quik’s Quality Potatoes.
Overall, it was a memorable evening filled with valuable insights and warm hospitality. The MAF Business Club extends its gratitude to Peter and the entire team at Quik’s Quality Potatoes for their gracious welcome and flawless organization!
